✒️📘Mitch Albom Meet & Greet📘✒️

We were absolutely thrilled to welcome bestselling author Mitch Albom back to Masonic Pathways for another unforgettable visit!

This annual tradition is one our residents look forward to every year! The excitement was truly heartwarming as everyone gathered to hear Mitch speak, share stories, and connect in such a personal and meaningful way.

During his time with us, Mitch spoke about his latest book, “Twice,” giving residents a closer look at the inspiration behind his work and the powerful messages woven throughout his storytelling. He also highlighted the incredible mission of his organization, SAY Detroit, and the many ways they continue to uplift the children and families of the Detroit area.

After his talk, Mitch generously spent time signing books and taking the time to have one-on-one conversations with each resident—making everyone feel seen, heard, and valued. Those personal connections meant so much and made the experience even more special.

We are so grateful that Mitch continues to make this visit part of his yearly tradition. His kindness, authenticity, and dedication to giving back leaves a lasting impact on our community every time he stops by!

🌼☀️ A Perfect Picnic Day☀️🌼

Our Masonic Village Estates residents recently enjoyed a wonderful afternoon picnic in our grand pavilion, and it couldn’t have been more perfect! Everyone brought a tasty dish to share, creating a beautiful spread filled with homemade favorites.

Residents soaked up the sunshine and enjoyed some truly great company. A few staff members stopped by to say hello, and they were warmly welcomed into the fun! 😊

It truly was a special day filled with community, connection, and fun. Moments like these remind us how meaningful it is to come together.
We’re already looking forward to the next one!

💙🤍❤️ Memorial Day Celebration ❤️🤍💙

We had a wonderful Memorial Day here at our community, filled with sunshine, smiles, and special moments!

Our residents got their hands a little dirty helping with some planting 🌱—bringing beauty and life to our outdoor spaces. We also enjoyed a fun round of trivia 🧠, followed by cool, refreshing popsicles on the patio.

As we spent time together, we also paused to remember and honor the brave men and women who gave so much for our freedom ❤️🤍💙.

It was a beautiful day of remembrance, togetherness, and fun!

💐🌷 Happy Mother's Day 🌷💐

Mother’s Day gave us the perfect opportunity to recognize the amazing mothers who are such an important part of our community. To all of our residents, staff, and family members who are mothers—thank you for the care, compassion, and love you share every day.

In celebration, we enjoyed a special day together, creating flower bouquets, sharing a wonderful baked salmon meal, and treating everyone to strawberry-covered cheesecake for dessert. It was a small way to show our appreciation for the big impact you make.

Thank you to all mothers, we are so grateful for all that you do!

🌮🎉 Cinco de Mayo Celebration 🎉🌮

Cinco de Mayo is a day to celebrate Mexican culture, resilience, and heritage. Yesterday we celebrated the occasion with a festive, flavorful meal prepared by our wonderful dining team! Residents enjoyed chicken quesadillas, Spanish rice, refried beans, and Mexican street corn, all served in a beautifully decorated dining room.

A heartfelt thank you to our dining staff for decorating and preparing such a delicious themed meal. Your creativity and hard work helped make this celebration special for our residents!

✨ May the 4th Be With You! ✨

In 1977 the first Star Wars film was released - Star Wars: Episode IV – A New Hope. Today, May 4th, is a day to celebrate Star Wars and we weren't going to miss out!

Residents gathered in the chapel to enjoy the three original Star Wars films on the big screen, complete with drinks and snacks for a true movie‑theater experience. 🍿🥤

For those who preferred to relax in their own space, the films were made available to watch on residents’ TVs. Everyone could join the fun from the comfort of their room.

Thank you to everyone who joined us for this special day. Whether you watched with friends in the chapel or from your room, we’re so glad you were part of the celebration. ⭐

🍿🎥A Light on the Lakes 🎥🍿

We recently had the honor of hosting a very special event for our residents—a private showing of the documentary A Light on the Lakes, produced by our very own Director of Marketing Benjamin Tigner!

A Light on the Lakes commemorates the 200th anniversary of Michigan Freemasonry and highlights the significant role the fraternity has played in the development of our state. The film features Masonic Pathways, recognizing its place in Masonic history and its commitment to the philanthropic values of Freemasonry. Our residents were proud to be the very first audience to ever view the documentary!

Additional public showings are coming soon, and the film will later be available to watch online from the comfort of home. We can’t wait for the wider community to experience it.

🍰💐 A Lovely Lady’s Tea 💐🍰

We had such a wonderful time at our Lady’s Tea, put on by the lovely folks at The Michigan Masonic Charitable Foundation! The ladies looked beautiful in their gowns, hats, and fascinators as they enjoyed live music, tea, and sweet treats. It was especially nice to welcome friends from Arbor Grove Assisted Living to join our residents for an afternoon of good conversation, laughter, and connection.
