We will always love you, Dolly!

The Libby app team is saddened to hear of the passing of Dolly Parton.

Dolly was a beloved artist and cultural icon, but perhaps just as importantly, she was a lifelong champion of literacy and the belief that everyone deserves access to books. Through the Dolly Parton's Imagination Library, she helped put books into the hands of children in communities across the globe and inspired generations of young readers to discover the joy of reading.

Today, we’re taking a quiet moment to read in Dolly’s memory and to celebrate the incredible legacy she leaves behind.

Ukulele Sing-along on Tuesday was so much fun! Thank you to our Uke Jammers! The group is open to all. They meet the first and third Thursdays of the month from 12-2.

In partnership with the Jacobs & Cushman San Diego Food Bank and Feeding San Diego, the County of San Diego is expanding free food distributions at six community locations. There are no income or residence requirements to receive food.

Nearly 200 older adults will start receiving a $500 a month in rental assistance next year through the County’s third round of the Shallow Rental Subsidy Program.
The County is now accepting applications and will continue until 195 qualified households are accepted. Monthly payments to landlords are expected to begin in early 2027. Link in comments below.
