Tomorrow, Monday, August 31 is the last day to turn in your entries for the Great American Scavenger Hunt! All entries are due by 8pm tomorrow evening. If you're just getting started today, we'll even give you a couple of freebies! You still need to figure out what other state is at those businesses (each business has two states), but this will get you started!

Every state in the union offers something unique! Take a walk around town to find photos of landmarks and famous locations from all over the country, in the windows of many of our downtown businesses. Write down the business name under the state on your entry form and find the next one. Complete on your own or work as a team! Return your completed form to the library for a small prize per participant. All correct and complete entries will be entered into a drawing to win a $30 local business gift card pack!

If you've noticed this recent addition to the corner of Leavitt Road (SR 58) and Park Avenue, you can thank the Friends of the Amherst, Ohio Public Library! The Friends of the Library purchased these pictogram signs and coordinated with the city to have them installed so that people traveling north and south on Leavitt Road can more easily find the library!
