The Amherst Police Department recently placed bottle tags at Drug Mart and The Junction as a reminder to celebrate responsibly and make a plan for a safe ride home.

A few seconds of planning can help prevent a traffic crash. Never drink and drive.

Have a safe Labor Day weekend, Amherst!

After learning about Milo and the journey he and his family are facing, a few of our very own Amherst Police Officers wanted to stop by, say hello, and show their support.

Sometimes, a little encouragement can go a long way. We want Milo and his family to know that their Amherst community is behind them, thinking of them, and wishing Milo all the best.

From all of us at the Amherst Police Department, we’re rooting for you, Milo!

when it comes to school buses! Stay alert and know the rules.
On a two- or three-lane road, drivers in both directions must stop when a school bus is picking up or dropping off students.
On roads with four or more lanes, drivers going in the opposite direction of the bus do not have to stop.
