Well, it appears we have more severe weather on the way tomorrow evening. Some things to continue to keep in mind:
- Don't drive through high water
- Stay away from downed wires and call 9-1-1
- DO NOT call 9-1-1 to report a power outage
- DO NOT call 9-1-1 to ask when power will be restored
- Be patient and give emergency and utility crews room to work.

Severe thunderstorms are possible across most of the area Wednesday night with the best chance west of Interstate 77. All severe weather hazards are on the table, but at this time confidence is highest in damaging winds and heavy rainfall. Check back for updates and be sure to have multiple ways to receive warnings.

There are numerous trees down with utility lines throughout the city. Please stay clear of any hazards and dial 9-1-1 for emergencies.

The warmth continues today. Take proper steps to stay safe in the heat.

Hot and humid conditions for north central and northwest Ohio today warranting a Heat Advisory with temps in the lower 90s and heat index values nearing 100. Further east, still very warm and humid, but below criteria. More storms possible later today and tonight.

Attached are pictures of an electric stove and a cutting board that was on the stove while it was hot. You can see the burn marks on the cutting board. Fortunately, this only resulted in some smoke inside the residence.

As you prepare meals at home, make sure you take proper steps and let things cool when you are finished cooking. Stoves, air friers and grills can cause serious damage if left on or if other items are left to close.

Cooking is a leading cause of reported home fires. Ranges or cook tops account for over half of home cooking fire incidents.
