Check out what's happening in Wrangell this month!

School has started, the air is chilling, and we are back in the swing of things! Take a peak and see all that we have going on this month.

You may notice our Toddler program is missing, fear not, it has not been discarded or forgotten! Our kitchen is currently being renovated, with the project overflowing into our meeting space. To keep the littles safe, that program is on pause till the project is completed.

Our Divisional Youth Retreat is happening here in Wrangell from the 19-20th. It's going to be a great time for middle schoolers and high schoolers to come together and praise the Lord! More info on that will be coming!

Please join us in welcoming our new Divisional Director of Development, Raelene Dugger, to The Salvation Army Alaska Division!

Raelene is joining us from the University of California, Davis, where she was the Assistant Director of Development. In this role, Raelene managed a substantial portfolio of donors and coordinated engagement and stewardship strategies.

Raelene also has extensive humanitarian service and nonprofit experience, with previous roles at Humanitarian OpenStreetMap Team, Boy Scouts of America, American Red Cross, and more. She has a Master of Public Administration, and Bachelors degrees in Public Administration and Environmental Development. Raelene is also a Certified Nonprofit Professional.

We are so excited to have Raelene join the team, and can’t wait to see the impact she’ll make with The Salvation Army Alaska.

Hello Wrangell Family!

It's that time of the year. With school starting, so is Praise games, also known as Teen game Night! we are so excited for another year of Games, Jesus, and all the snacks! Join us on Thursday, September 3rd for the first Praise Games of the year at 6:00pm.

Praise Games is for youth 7th Grade-12th grade. and runs weekly from 6:00-8:00pm. We look forward to seeing you.😁

💔 We pray for Dolly's family and loved ones with the news of her passing.

Dolly was a generous soul and a legendary performer who frequently supported The Salvation Army. Her loss will be felt and mourned by so many.

On Friday, participants in our Serendipity Adult Day Services program went to the Alaska State Fair for opening day 🎡

We were blessed with beautiful weather as we got to explore all the fair has to offer, from arts & crafts exhibits to live music to interactive farm animal encounters. And of course the food! Attendees indulged in all sorts of goodies like pizza, French fries, ice cream, cupcakes, elephant ears, and more.

The smiles on the bus ride back to Serendipity said it all! We're so thankful for our incredible supporters and volunteers who help create these unforgettable experiences for our clients. 💫
