Getting your hunting or fishing license is easier than ever before. We're thrilled to announce that fishing and hunting licenses can now be purchased at the Anderson Main Library!

Hunting and fishing licenses are available for purchase during regular Main Library hours. Specific license types, fees and requirements may vary. For more information about South Carolina hunting and fishing licenses, seasons, regulations and outdoor recreation, visit: https://www.dnr.sc.gov/. Did you know that we have tons of creative classes every week in the Electric City Creative Makerspace? These patrons had a blast making "grid journals" and testing out new art skills!

Sometimes, it pays to have your library card! These car keys were dropped off in our outside book return last Thursday with no note, but because the keys had a library card attached, our staff was able to look up the patron and get their keys returned. The patron said that they lost their keys shopping last week, and were incredibly grateful to whoever thought to drop them off at the Library! Yay for happy endings!

Art is for everyone, and we’re honored to be recognized for helping make that happen!

Last night, Library Director Annie Sutton proudly accepted the 2026 Arts Advocate Award on behalf of the Anderson County Library System at the Market Theatre’s Arts for All Gala!

We’re grateful to for this recognition and, even more, for being a wonderful partner in bringing the arts to our community. Through important partnerships like ours, we can create more opportunities for people to experience and connect through the arts.

Our youngest patrons had a "glowing" good time at our Glow Party last week! Kids got the chance to participate in a bunch of fun, glow-in-the-dark activities, such as mini golf, tic-tac-toe, and of course, dancing!
