A small black and white dog has been found at the Anderson Main Library. The dog looks to have no collar. Please share this and help us find the dog's owner!

Celebrate 250 years of America at this special celebration, in partnership with Anderson County, S.C., Anderson County Museum, Anderson Arts Center, Anderson Area Chamber of Commerce, City of Anderson, SC - Local Government, Anderson County Library System, and Greater Anderson Musical Arts Consortium (GAMAC)!

This family-friendly event will feature food trucks, games for kids, patriotic music, reenactors, and a chance to see our new Bookmobile. Also, don't miss a special bell tribute to celebrate 250 years at 2:50 PM!

No registration is required to attend. See you there!

Collect exclusive trading cards this summer at the Library!

Visit your local library branch every week of the summer reading challenge or attend summer reading programs to collect exclusive cards. There are 14 cards in total, so try your best to collect them all. Explorers who collect at least 7 of the 14 cards will win a "dino-mite" backpack charm!

We ❤ partnering with local schools for fun field trips! Last week, Our Lander Memorial Library hosted a group of super-readers from Palmetto Elementary for a special library visit, which included a Solo cup stacking activity. These kids put their minds together and managed to stack a tower all the way to the ceiling!

Our Summer Reading program kicks off next week, and we're celebrating! Join us at one of our Kickoff Celebrations and enjoy games, crafts, stories, and more. Highlights include the Charm Farm Petting Zoo at the Lander Memorial Library, rock painting at the Powdersville library, dino-themed bingo at the Belton library, AnMed's Bike Rodeo at the Main Library, and DIY fossil art at the Pendleton library!

It's always a joy having Greater Anderson Musical Arts Consortium (GAMAC) out for our Sonic Lunch program! This time, the Anderson Symphony Orchestra got us ready for summer reading by playing the Jurassic Park theme!
