🦎🐍✨ From Ann Arbor to Mackinac Island, adventure was waiting around every corner!

The team from Ann Arbor Hands-On Museum and Leslie Science & Nature Center traveled north to share hands-on learning experiences with communities across Michigan. Along the way, we had the opportunity to bring science, nature, and animal encounters to students at the Grand Hotel and community members at the Mackinac Island Public Library.

🐢 Curious minds explored.
🦉 Amazing animals inspired wonder.
🐍 New discoveries sparked excitement.
🌿 And plenty of smiles were shared along the way.

From meeting animals up close to asking thoughtful questions and making lasting memories, every experience helped connect people to the natural world in a meaningful and fun way.

These photos capture just a few of the moments of exploration, learning, and adventure that made this trip so special. We are grateful to everyone who joined us and helped make our visit to Mackinac Island unforgettable!

💚 Thank you for welcoming us, and we can’t wait to continue bringing hands-on science and nature experiences to communities across the state.

High performing teams know that teamwork extends beyond the workplace and into the communities where we live and work. During KLA Foundation’s Global Volunteer Month, KLA employees from Ann Arbor, Michigan brought their energy and teamwork to the Leslie Science & Nature Center - LSNC STEM camp beautification project, helping prepare the grounds for summer programming. From weeding garden beds and areas around animal enclosures to spreading mulch, setting up a tent, and organizing indoor spaces, the team helped create a welcoming environment for STEM campers. Thank you to our Ann Arbor volunteers for showing the power of teamwork in action.

🌎✨ A2 Earth Day 2026 was full of movement, music, and moments that mattered!

Kids danced through the parade, explored sound and rhythm, and got hands-on with activities that connected them to the world around them 🌱🥁.

Families stopped to learn, laugh, and play. Hands-on experiences invited everyone to connect with nature and the natural world, sparking curiosity at every turn 🌼.

From wildlife ambassadors to community partners, the day was a reminder of what’s possible when people come together to care for our planet 🐦💚.

🌍 A day built on small actions, big questions, and a shared love for Earth.

Thank you to our sponsors, volunteers, exhibitors, and everyone who helped make this a zero-waste celebration! () ♻️
