We were so pleased to spend time with other sturgeon fans at last week's Sturgeon Palooza event at MSU! Thanks to the university for continuing to conduct and support research to help us understand and protect these incredible dinosaur fish:

MSU’s Sturgeon Palooza celebrates a win for conservation 25 years in the making. Partnering with Michigan Sea Grant, the event goes on to display why lake sturgeon are more than caviar.

Some things -- like a fossil or fossil-focused fact sheet -- stand the test of time!

Brandon Schroeder received these goodies as a thank-you gift after his fisheries heritage talk at NOAA Thunder Bay National Marine Sanctuary this week. Coincidentally, the fact sheet (which highlights northern MI's rich fossil-hunting opportunities) was a product we helped create for a local tourism project back in the mid-2000s. We love when our work comes full-circle!
