Attention Veterans, big changes are coming to your prescriptions!
Starting mid‑September, pharmacy is going paperless with digital medication guides.

This new paper‑free system gives you quick, safe access to:
🔹A medication‑specific digital guide
🔹A patient education sheet
🔹A short, easy‑to‑understand video about your medication

Just scan the QR code on your prescription label with your smartphone or mobile device. No personal health information (PHI) is stored on the QR code, making it a safer and easier way to learn about your medications.

Prefer a paper copy?
Don't worry, you'll still be able to request paper medication guides.

We are excited to celebrate and congratulate Mr. Thomas Towalski of Facilities Management Service as our August 2026 Employee of the Month! Tom’s dedication, teamwork, and unwavering commitment shine through in everything completed and make a meaningful impact on our facility and the Veterans we serve.

“Thomas Towalski, a Painter in the Paint Shop, exemplifies the VA's ICARE values through his exceptional dedication to supporting Veteran safety and mobility. When an urgent need arose to paint fifty wheeled walkers so they could be deployed to units for Veterans’ use, Thomas immediately responded, came to discuss the project in detail, took careful notes, and collaborated to determine the best, most consistent approach—demonstrating Integrity and Advocacy by fully owning the task and aligning it with the mission of Veteran care.

Despite already carrying a full workload, Tom completed all fifty walkers within just a few days without complaint, showing remarkable Commitment and reliability while quietly managing the extra strain through prioritization and hard work. His proactive communication, thoughtful questions, and partnership throughout the process reflect deep Respect for both Veterans and colleagues, and his speed, quality, and initiative embody Excellence, resulting in timely deployment of safe mobility devices that had an immediate, meaningful impact on Veteran care across the hospital.

Tom consistently demonstrates a teamwork mindset, engaging collaboratively, listening carefully, and incorporating feedback to ensure projects run smoothly and efficiently. By prioritizing Veterans’ needs and delivering high-standard work on a tight timeline, he has made a significant impact on both the Veterans we serve and the healthcare system as a whole, making him a truly deserving Employee of the Month for August 2026. Congratulations, Tom, and thank you for everything you do for our Veterans and our agency!”

We are truly fortunate to have Tom on our team, and we sincerely appreciate the hard work, dependability, and readiness to go above and beyond that Tom brings every day. Congratulations, Tom, on this incredibly well‑deserved recognition!
