We’re excited to share that at the National Governors Association Summer Meeting, Governor Wes Moore was elected NGA Chair and launched “Service United” – a bipartisan initiative encouraging governors across the country to create paid service programs for young people.
The model behind that national push is familiar to us: Maryland Corps/Service Year Option, the program our state built, and our community helped make successful.
We’re grateful for the leadership of Governor Moore and the bipartisan team of Governors at NGA as they work to create opportunities for young people to serve their community and launch their careers.
