Apache Junction Animal Control is a municipal animal shelter, providing services to residents of Apache Junction. The shelter houses cats and dogs that are owner surrendered as well as strays. Animals are available for adoption unless otherwise stated.

Abby is a lovable girl looking for the right home to call her own. At around 50lbs, she’s the perfect size for adventures, playtime, and plenty of cuddles. ❤️

This sweet girl loves people and enjoys soaking up all the attention she can get. She loves to play, be loved on, and spend time in the water. Abby would do best as the only pet in the home, as she doesn't get along well with other dogs or cats.

She’s looking for a family willing to learn more about her, give her patience, and welcome her in as their one and only spoiled pup!

🐾 We could use the community’s help!

A few months ago, a very kind Good Samaritan generously volunteered to help fill our shelter dogs’ enrichment pupsicles. Unfortunately, we haven’t seen them since and we don’t have a way to contact them.

These pupsicles are one of our shelter animals’ primary forms of enrichment and truly one of our most prized possessions. Our dogs absolutely love them, and we would love more than anything to get them back. ❤️

Arizona heat is no joke. Leaving a pet in a parked car, even for “just a minute,” can quickly become deadly. Heat stroke can happen faster than you think and can be fatal within minutes.

If you see a pet or child left unattended in a vehicle, call authorities immediately. Acting quickly could save a life.
