On this day in 1921, white supremacists destroyed Black Wall Street in the Tulsa Race Massacre. We remember by telling the truth, demanding justice, and committing to a future where this never happens again. Understanding our history is how we move forward and begin to heal.

Please join us on Friday, June 19th from 5-10pm to not only celebrating the 161st Anniversary of but learning about more about Juneteenth and the historical significance Appomattox and connection to Juneteenth. We will have an interactive dance experience with Kuumba Dance Ensemble, Juneteenth and Freedom Day trivia facts, Juneteenth Bingo, opportunity to do an art and craft activity as a family or individually, and a presentation from Ranger David Wooldridge regarding the influences of freed Blacks and enslaved people not only on Appomattox, but Virginia and the country. We will provide you with a 360 Photo booth provided by A to Z Productions LLC to help everyone commermorate this Celebration. Various arts and craft vendors. We are excited to have Walker's Fish Chicken and More again at our event as our food vendor.

This event is FREE to the public and a RAIN or SHINE event.
Only service animals Allowed.

We are accepting applications for vendors until June 15th.

We are looking for a few arts and craft vendors for our Celebration occurring on June 19th at Carver Price Cultural Center at 426 Patricia Anne Lane Appomattox VA from 5-10pm. We have four spots for non-profits. We are interested in all types of arts and crafts vendors. Deadline for applications is June 16th. We already have food vendors.

We are still accepting vendor applications. We are still seeking any jewelry, beauty products such as soaps, lotions, and lip balm, tumblers vendors. This is a great event for vendors to introduce their products.

If any vendors unable to attend but would love some exposure we are accepting donations for door prizes. If you are donating door prizes, include a business card and send us an email to setup time to pick up items.

We are still looking for a few more sponsors for our Celebration.

We are in need of 8 volunteers during our Celebration. Volunteers will assist in setting up and breakdown venue, assisting vendors to setup and breakdown their booths, light trash pick, and assisting with some activities. Setup time 3:30 pm Event start 5 pm Breakdown 8 pm. 426 Patricia Anne Lane Appomattox. Great opportunity for community service hours.
