Good evening CC Bell Families,
Tonight, will be my last planned parent/guardian weekly bulletin for the school year.
The PTO Dance this Friday night was well attended and a great time of fellowship within the school community.
4th 9 Weeks Report Cards will not be given out until Wednesday, June 10th.
This Week at CC Bell:
*Monday, June 8th:
Brody the Sherriff’s Department Therapy dog will be present at the main entrance to greet students upon arrival to school.
3rd/4th Grades will be Re-Testing for the Reading (4th) and Read to Achieve (3rd) Tests
2nd Grade Awards/EOY Celebration:
9:30-10:30 Awards and Donuts
10:30-11:15 gym
K & 1st grade have enrichment activities planned.
5th Grade will be going on the annual 5th Grade Trip to the BCS Aquatics Center and picnic @ Lake Julian afterwards.
*Tuesday, June 9th:
3rd/4th End of Year Awards: 8:15AM - Gym
10 - Mrs. Necas’ Class Plays (4th Grade parents/guardians invited)
1st Grade Awards Day Plan: Classroom celebrations at 1PM then recess as normal at 1:30 then bubbles and popsicles and inviting parents to join
*Wednesday, June 10th:
*5th Grade: Clap-out - 8:15AM
*9AM - 5th Promotion Program
*Final Day of School for 25/26 with 12:30PM Dismissal

Monday: buncombe burgers or corn dogs
Tuesday: hot ham and cheese sandwich or chicken nuggets
Wednesday: school cheese pizza or school pepperoni pizza
Heathy Daily Snack:
Monday: western pear
Tuesday: apple slices
Wednesday: baby carrots w/ranch

*Universal breakfast is free for all students and will be served in the cafeteria breakfast line upon student arrival to school. Students arriving at 7:55AM or later will be provided a “grab and go” breakfast bag with school starting at 8:00AM. We encourage our students to eat breakfast each morning because a healthy breakfast builds strong students and participation helps fund our cafeteria team.
**Universal free lunch is also available to every student.
A la Carte Menu Items (extras) are the only items for sale in the cafeteria. The most efficient way for parents to manage these expenses is through an online account for your student: https://www.buncombeschools.org/o/bcs/page/meal-prepayment.
Items range in cost from $.25 cents to $2/each.

Summer 2026 Information for CC Bell:
The Summer Office Schedule will be from Monday, June 15th - August 6th - 8AM-3PM daily (Monday-Thursday).
Kindergarten Camp for rising Kindergarten families: August 4th & 5th – 8AM-12PM

Community Resources:
We are fortunate within our community to have the East Asheville Family to Family church network. Family to Family supports our school and community families through donations to the school, providing food, and clothing. Partner churches include: Bethel UMC, Beverly Hills Baptist Church, Brookstone Church East, Grassy Branch Baptist Church, Groce UMC and East Asheville UMC.
The East Asheville Welcome Table is a ministry at Groce UMC on occurs on Thursday nights (except Thanksgiving and Christmas if it falls on a Thursday) from 5-6:30PM. If it snows it is best to call GUMC before coming.
The B.E.A.R. Closet at East Asheville UMC (baby equipment and resources), providing baby equipment, clothes—sizes newborn to 4T, diapers, wipes, etc. By appointment only: call 828-299-9742.
