*NEW* Opportunity for ANY youth in Cass County who are 5 to 8 years old! The Little Miss and Little Mister 2026 Cass County Fair entries are open, and we want YOU to feel prepared to take the stage! Our high school County 4-H Youth Council members have put together a workshop for littles to meet the 2026 Fair Royalty candidates, practice talking on the microphone, answering questions, and playing some games! Sign up to join us on Thursday, July 16th, from 1-3pm.

At the end of May, we hosted a babysitting workshop where 14 youth learned skills to be more comfortable taking care of little ones. Linda from Public Health also came to present CPR for the group. Youth said they learned skills at this workshop that they are likely to use in the years to come. They also enjoyed learning how to swaddle a baby. Their favorite part of CPR with Linda!

Fair Season is right around the corner and deadlines are quickly approaching! 4-H and FFA Exhibitors, make sure you have everything you need ahead of fair time. TODAY all pre-fair events are due, including Table Setting, Clothing Event and King/Queen contests.
July 1st ALL fair entries are due! Our office is open Monday through Friday 8:00am-4:30pm to help answer questions about entries. Paper entries must be turned in with payment by 4:30pm during regular business hours. Online Entries through FairEntry will lock at 11:59pm on deadline days

Cass County 4-H Youth Council is so excited to host a Teen Dance at fair again this year!!

Mark your calendars now and plan to join us Thursday, July 23rd from 9-11pm (or 15 min following the Fair Royalty coronation). The dance is a free event for all 6th-12th graders. It will take place in Cass County Community Building, enter through the west door.

Our Youth Council hopes this event will bring together youth across the county to reunite friendships and create fun, fair-week memories as they dance the night away!!

Annually we host a station for Cass County Conservation's event when they bring all the 5th graders in the county to Cold Springs to learn about conservation efforts and nature in the county! At our station, youth used nets to capture critters along the bank. They used microscopes and field guides to identify critters that were found!
The coolest find of the day was a Crawdad!

We kicked off our library program tour on June 1st at the Atlantic Library, where we saw over 205 people! Many were interested in learning more about 4-H and signed up for our summer day camps! 🔦
We are traveling to the county libraries delivering two programs this year! All ages are welcome and encouraged to participate!
