During the months of July and August we held a food distribution each Thursday. We served an average of 102 households (273 individuals) each week. We appreciate the support we receive from local business partners as well as donations from individuals. The Omaha Food Bank provides support each week as well.

Many thanks to one of our local business partners! Atlantic Hy-Vee (and their customers) donated a truck full of food donations from their local Back to School food drive. We appreciate the support!!

We have supported the following neighbors in need during our July food distribution days.

July 2 - 85 households with 219 individuals
July 9 - 94 households with 262 individuals
July 16 - 107 households with 317 individuals

There are two more distribution days in July.

We have another local shout-out! This time to our neighbors across the street- South O Roofing.

There have been several times they have come over to help unload our delivery from the Food Bank for the Heartland. We have really appreciated their extra help during those weeks.

We could not do what we do without the support of this community! We are going to make a few shout-outs over the next few weeks.

Help us to say thank you to NISHNANET. Scott does so much to help make sure we can do what we do: from the internet and phone service to, most recently, helping us get internet outside for our new check-in process. He is always there to help us solve problems and keep things running.

Summer events are in full swing, and that means people are busy and contributions to charitable organizations like ours often drop a bit. The good news is that we do have some reserves to keep providing food to our neighbors in need. However, we also need continued contributions to ensure adequate food for the months ahead.

During the month of June we held four food distribution days. Demand has increased again after a brief decline in the spring. Here are the numbers for June:

June 4 - 90 households, 279 individuals
June 11 - 92 households, 247 individuals
June 18 - 119 households, 368 individuals
June 25 - 119 households, 347 individuals

We want to give a huge Thank You to all of the generous organizations and individuals who contribute so generously to our cause.

Yes. We are distributing food today.

What a storm this morning! There are lots of trees down around the area, so please be aware, but we have volunteers ready to serve you.

During our food distribution on May 14, 2026, we provided support to 95 households consisting of 285 individuals.

Attending a conference at the Omaha Food bank today. Great facility and great support to smaller food pantrys like we have in Atlantic.
