AUGUSTA, GA (May 19, 2026) - Augusta Recreation and Parks has announced that the 2026 Candlelight Music Series will temporarily relocate to the Augusta Exchange Club Fairgrounds and will kick off on Sunday, June 7, 2026.

The Augusta Exchange Club Fairgrounds is located at 202 Hale Street in Augusta, Georgia.

The temporary location change is due to scheduled utility work at the Augusta Common, where the series is traditionally held. Relocating the series allows Augusta Recreation and Parks to provide residents, visitors, and performers with a confirmed start date for the 2026 season.

Augusta Recreation and Parks recognize the Candlelight Music Series as a valued community tradition and an important part of Augusta’s summer experience.

“We understand that Candlelight is more than a concert series. It is a tradition, a gathering place, and part of Augusta’s summer culture,” said Director Williams. “We appreciate the community’s patience and understanding as we move forward with this temporary location change and prepare for the 2026 season.”

The opening act for the June 7th concert will be announced after Memorial Day weekend, with the full concert lineup to follow.

School is almost out, and one of Augusta’s longtime community traditions is back.

Join Augusta Recreation & Parks and community partners for J.R.’s Annual End of School Block Party on Saturday, May 23, from noon to 5 p.m. at The Augusta Common.

For more than 30 years, this celebration has helped local students and families kick off summer with food, fun, music, inflatables and giveaways. The event is free for the whole family, and everyone is welcome.

Come celebrate the end of the school year, enjoy time with the community and help us continue a tradition built around Augusta’s youth and families.
