YWCA is the oldest and largest multicultural women's organization in the world. Across the globe, we have more than 25 million members in 122 countries, including 2 million members in local associations in the United States. More important than the numbers, is our mission to eliminate racism and empower women. We provide safe places for women and girls, build strong women leaders, and advocate for

women's rights and civil rights in Congress. Women come to us in times of crisis, as survivors of rape or domestic violence. They come for childcare. They come for health and fitness. They come for a variety of reasons. But they come. And they leave with a renewed spirit, new skills, and stronger lives. YWCA associations are the bedrock of the organization. We are in almost every community nationwide, and our services range from Childcare and Job Training, to Violence Prevention and Leadership Training and more. And we wanted to share about CampQ 2026 offered by ChrysalisQ.

CampQ has slots available for LGBTQ+ kids and their siblings, ages 4-14. The camp is held is South Austin off 1st st and Slaughter. from 9 am-3 pm daily June 22-26. (Early drop off option available at 8:00 a.m.)

Cost is $125 for the week, and scholarships are still available!

In the spring and summer of 1988, Gloria Chun Hoo was a key player in the YWCA USA new logo design. It was the era of YWCA celebrating new beginnings with the implementation of the sunrise logo that ran from 1989 to 2004. It was a defining moment that created persimmon as our signature color. We honor Hinaleimoana Wong-Kalu, she is a Native Hawaiian cultural leader and proud māhū, a traditional third-gender identity. Through education, storytelling, and advocacy, Kumu Hina uplifts Indigenous knowledge, gender justice, and the right to live authentically.
