We’re excited to share that we’ve received a grant from the Parks Foundation of Hendricks County to support Avon’s Trail Safety Initiative! 🎉

This initiative adds new trail signage, mile markers, and color‑coded identification to help make our trails safer and easier to navigate for everyone- and easier for our first responders to locate you in case of an emergency. The first phase is already underway, so keep an eye out for new signs and wayfinding improvements along the White Lick Trail and throughout Blue Heron Park.

Thank you to the Parks Foundation of Hendricks County for investing in a safer, more connected Avon! 🌿🚶‍♀️🚴‍♂️ Congratulations to all the other grant recipients, and thank you to Washington Township Park for this great group photo!

30 years of dedication, leadership, and service to the Town of Avon. 🎉

Today, we proudly celebrate Mike Tulli, our Building Department Commissioner, on his 30th work anniversary. Mike was the very first employee hired by the Town of Avon three decades ago, and his impact can be seen all throughout our community.

From helping shape the growth of the Town of Avon to serving residents with care and commitment every single day, Mike’s passion and hard work have helped make Avon what it is today. His knowledge, leadership, and genuine love for this community continue to inspire all of us.

Please join us in congratulating Mike on this incredible milestone and thanking him for 30 amazing years of service and awesomeness! 👏🏽💙

Last Thursday at the May 14, 2026, Town Council Meeting, the Town of Avon proudly received a check presentation from the Indianapolis Metropolitan Planning Organization (IMPO)! 🎉

So… what exactly is an IMPO? 🤔

The Indianapolis Metropolitan Planning Organization (IMPO) helps plan and fund transportation projects throughout Central Indiana. Their work focuses on improving how people move throughout the region — whether that’s by driving, biking, walking, or public transit. 🚗🚲🚶

IMPO works with local communities like the Town of Avon to:
✔️ Plan future transportation improvements
✔️ Provide funding opportunities for road and trail projects
✔️ Improve safety and connectivity
✔️ Support regional growth and development

The funding Avon receives through IMPO helps make important infrastructure projects possible right here in our community, benefiting residents, businesses, and visitors alike.

We appreciate our partnership with IMPO and their continued investment in the future of the Town of Avon! 👏
