A heartfelt THANK YOU to Burger 25 for sponsoring our May 21 fundraiser in support of the Long Beach Island Historical Museum and our mission to preserve the rich history of LBI for future generations. 🍔❤️🏛️

We are also incredibly grateful to everyone who came out, shared a meal, and supported the Museum during this special community event. Your support helps us continue preserving our historic 1882 building, expanding exhibits and programs, and celebrating the Museum’s 50th Anniversary year.

Fifty years ago, a dedicated group of islanders came together to preserve the rich stories, maritime legends, and unique heritage of Long Beach Island. This year, the Long Beach Island Historical Museum is officially celebrating our 50th Anniversary, and we want you to be a part of history!

Join us for a special Anniversary Open House as we look back on five decades of preservation and look forward to an exciting future.

Where: The LBI Historical Museum (129 Engleside Ave, Beach Haven, NJ)
What: Free museum admission, a special tribute to John Coyle, a principal founder, and a celebration of the incredible volunteers who keep our history alive.

Join the Long Beach Island Historical Association for the next installment of our popular LBIHA Speaker Series, featuring a deep dive into the life and legacy of Gen. George Gordon Meade.

We are thrilled to welcome renowned historian and presenter Andy Waskie, President of the General Meade Society, to share his incredible insights into one of the Civil War’s most pivotal figures and the designer and engineer of our own beloved sentinel Barnegat Lighthouse.
