HONORING TRADITION, SERVICE & COUNTRY!

Our Bobcat Battalion Color Guard had the honor of presenting the National Colors at the RED, WHITE & CABOOSE, celebrating Beaver’s 59th Charter Day and America’s 250th Anniversary at Beaver Station in Beaver, Pennsylvania!

It was a beautiful event celebrating our community, our nation’s history, and the traditions that bring us together. The celebration began with Beaver’s very own JROTC cadets proudly presenting the colors, setting the tone for a memorable day of patriotism, pride, and community spirit.

We are incredibly proud of our cadets for representing the Bobcat Battalion with professionalism, discipline, and respect for our nation’s flag. Opportunities like these remind us that JROTC is about more than leadership in the classroom—it’s about service, citizenship, community involvement, and honoring the values that unite us.

A huge shout-out to our very own Beaver JROTC Color Guard for proudly presenting the National Colors at this year’s EdFest!

We had a new crew of freshly certified Color Guard Members (**) present the colors. The team consisted of the following:

We are incredibly proud of our cadets for representing Beaver with honor, professionalism, and patriotism at this special event!

Your hard work, compassion, and commitment make a lasting difference in the lives of young people and in our community. You deserve to be celebrated and recognized for all that you do!

The Story Continues…

Our Bobcat Battalion’s very own Jacob Shearer has officially completed U.S. Army Basic Training, taking on one of the most challenging and transformative experiences in his journey toward becoming a Soldier. Jacob didn’t simply make it through the training—he pushed himself through every challenge and continued to demonstrate the determination, discipline, and perseverance that have always set him apart.

Basic Training tested Jacob physically and mentally, demanding long days, constant discipline, teamwork, and the ability to perform under pressure. Through every challenge, he continued to push forward and prove that the lessons learned as a Bobcat can carry far beyond the walls of our high school.

Jacob is now continuing his journey toward becoming a 14W, an new Military Occupational Specialty (MOS) in which Jacob will be amongst the very first in this Air Defense field. His next step brings an especially unique opportunity, as Fort Sill is currently the only location where 14W training is conducted.

That uncertainty is part of what makes his journey so exciting. Jacob is stepping into a specialized career field, continuing to learn, adapt, and take on challenges that will shape the Soldier he becomes.

The Story Doesn’t End There…

Jacob’s journey is a reminder that the standards built in the Bobcat Battalion don’t end when a cadet graduates. The discipline, teamwork, perseverance, and leadership developed here travel with our cadets into every formation, every training environment, and every opportunity to serve.

From the Bobcat formation to Army Basic Training and now toward specialized military training, Jacob continues to demonstrate what it means to rise to the challenge, keep moving forward, and lead the way.

His accomplishments serve as an inspiration to the cadets currently standing in our formation and to every future Bobcat who will one day begin a journey of their own.

From Beaver to Fort Sill, the journey continues. The standard remains. And the legacy grows stronger with every generation.

Yesterday, the Beaver Bobcats had their homecoming football game! Before the game, there's usually a few people being honored into the Hall of Fame. A few cadets had the privilege of holding an Honor Guard for those people, making the night even more special for them. There was also a Color Guard that presented the American flag for the National Anthem. Congratulations to those who were inducted!

On October 2nd, we held our annual LEADERSHIP DAY for all 8th graders (who signed up). This helps to show more of what the program and teams are all about! Although we had to move it inside due to unfortunate weather, that didn't stop us from having a good time and making the most of every moment! We had a JLAB station (trivia), a Drill station (rifles/discipline), an Honor Guard station (taught sabers), a game station for team bonding, a Raider station (rucks + litter), and lastly a PT station (2 minutes pushups and 2 minutes sit-ups).

From our PT station, we had an IRON MAN and IRON WOMAN medal for the top scorers in both categories. For Iron Woman, there was a tie between two girls. For the tiebreaker, we had a challenge to see who could hold a plank longer. Coming out on top🥇, Annaka Kail won the title with 33 pushups and 50 situps! For Iron Man🥇, Liam Murphy clean swept his competition and took the title with 59 pushups and 82 sit-ups!

We finished off the fun day with human table competitions and tug of war! Who knew 8th graders could be so competitive? We're so proud of everyone for trying out all the new things today, and we can't wait to see all the new cadets next year!😉

Today was our annual Fall picnic! We enjoyed food together, had great conversations, and played VERY competitive volleyball games!

We are so grateful and appreciate our parent support group for making this happen! They provide the food, make it, and serve it to all of the kids. They do SO much for our program and we couldn't ask for a better group!

We hope that the upcoming year is filled with nothing but blessings, gratitude, and friendship!

My favorite car was the "GLASSTOP" one, which was yours?

Today, September 27th, was our annual car cruise!! It was a HUGE success with tons of classic cars, muscle cars, and old fashioned cars coming down to support! We are so grateful that our 50/50 winner donated it back into the program! This fundraiser was for the currently senior class to fund their senior trip! Thank you to everyone who came out, supported, and donated money! We loved seeing everyone and cant wait to see you at BINGO
