Beaver High School JROTC Color Guard proudly performed at the South Side Beaver Rams vs. Riverside Panthers Gold Star Family Football Game, an annual tribute honoring fallen servicemembers from the region. In a powerful gesture, five players from each team set aside their own names and played under the name of a fallen hero, with Gold Star families present to witness their loved ones honored.

The beautiful, solo playing of Taps, the presentation of the National Colors, and a ceremonial flyover underscored the solemnity of the evening.
“Events like this allow our cadets to honor service, connect with community, and stand on platforms that broaden their leadership experience,” said SGM (Ret.) Weaver.

A huge Thank You to the South Side Beaver administration for coordinating such a memorable event and for including our Beaver JROTC program.

Our Bobcat Battalion continues to Lead The Way, demonstrating excellence in service, discipline, and community engagement.

The Beaver Car Cruise was a huge success! Thanks to the dedication of our volunteers, we had the right number of people to keep everything organized and running smoothly throughout the day. It was wonderful to see so many car enthusiasts, families, and community members come together to admire an incredible lineup of classic cars, muscle cars, hot rods, and custom rides. While we were able to raise some money, our biggest goal was to create a safe, enjoyable experience where everyone could appreciate the vehicles and spend time with others who share the same passion. Seeing the smiles, conversations, and excitement throughout the event was a reminder of how much this tradition means to our community. There is something so special about bringing people together over a shared interest.

🏎️ Keys in the ignition, windows down—who's ready to cruise? 🏎️

The annual Beaver Car Cruise is almost here!

Join us this Saturday, August 1, from 11:00 AM to 7:00 PM on Main Street in Beaver to check out an amazing lineup of classic cars, muscle cars, hot rods, and custom rides.

We're calling all JROTC cadets to volunteer and help make this event a success! We currently need 15–20 more cadets.
Volunteer Shifts:
* • Morning: 10:00 AM – 2:30 PM
* • Afternoon: 2:30 PM – 7:00 PM

Cadets will be selling water and walking throughout the event to help ensure everyone's safety and enjoyment.

This is an easy and fun way to earn service hours while supporting a great community event. If you're available, sign up and come be part of one of Beaver's favorite annual traditions!

Just Another Day in the Life of a Beaver Bobcat JROTC Raider Team Member:

A little rain and a touch of 1970s Bingo‑hall smog couldn’t slow down our Raider Team today. Members of the Beaver Bobcat JROTC Battalion volunteered their time at the annual BCSCL & Youth Foundation Field Day held at the Midland Sportsmen’s Club, proving once again that leadership doesn’t wait for perfect conditions.

Led by Co‑Captain Bruce Sutter, Raiders Cash Jeffers and Nico Rudi spent the day working hands‑on with young kids from across Beaver County. They taught the fundamentals of fastening a proper Swiss
seat and guided each child safely across the One‑Rope Bridge, giving them a taste of confidence, courage, and accomplishment.

Beyond the rope work, our Raiders shared what it means to be part of a JROTC program, emphasizing teamwork, discipline, and the importance of staying physically active in everyday life.

Their presence wasn’t just instructional; it was inspirational. This is who we are....This is what we do!

Another example of how the Beaver Bobcat JROTC Battalion continues to lead from the front and set the bar for youth engagement, community service, and character development.

A Moment of Honor for the Bobcat Battalion;

The Beaver community witnessed a truly momentous and humbling occasion today as the Vietnam Moving Wall arrived at Franciscan Manor in Patterson Township, where it will stand in solemn tribute through the twentieth of July. Our region is deeply privileged to host this powerful memorial, one that reminds us of the thousands of Americans who never returned home from the Vietnam War.

The opening ceremony reflected the reverence this memorial deserves, featuring distinguished voices from across Beaver County:

- County Commissioner
- Sheriff Tony Guy
- District Attorney Nate Bible
- Mr. Rex Pagani

The ceremony was masterfully led by Mr. Larry Goggins, an accomplished pilot and Vietnam Veteran whose presence added profound meaning to the event. The National Anthem, performed beautifully by Sean and Katie Donaldson, set the tone for a day of remembrance and gratitude.

Bobcat Battalion Participation

Two of our own, Cadet Emily Turyan and Cadet Amelia Bose, took part in the Wreath Laying Ceremony, honoring the brave men and women whose names are etched into the Moving Wall. Their participation reflects the character, discipline, and respect that define our Battalion.

A heartfelt Thank‑You to:

- VVA Chapter 862
- Patterson Township Mayor
- Patterson Township Fire & Police Departments
- Patterson Heights Volunteer Fire Department

And above all, a solemn blessing to the families of Beaver County Vietnam Veterans and the Gold Star Families of our community. Their sacrifice is woven into the fabric of our nation’s history, and today we honored that legacy with humility and respect.
