Brad Meyer has joined over 100 congressional candidates nation wide in the "Take BAC Congress" Pledge

Our government is in critical need of reestablishing and securing its essential Balance of Power. Congress needs to uphold this accountability and focus on representation of their constituents. Believing that truth is essential, but one requisite to renew our trust in a government "by and for the people," is supporting and committing to fighting tirelessly and passing into law the following:

Congressional Term Limits. House: 6, two-year terms. Senate: 2, six-year terms.
Overturn Citizens United.
Moratorium on Lobbying.
No Stock Trading.
Establishing and holding a code of Judicial Ethics for the US Supreme Court.

Working people are struggling at the hand of Congress's failure. We need politicians who hold our government accountable and focussed on who they are working for. Not private interest and lobbyists but hard working Americans.

My practice is science. My Northstar is the truth. When elected, I plan to restore science and professional integrity to the agencies depleted by Trump and his cabinet, including RFK. Declining vaccine coverage is an abject failure of public health leadership. This is not the direction we should be going and your Representative should be fighting against policy and promotions that cause harm to Hoosiers, instead she stays silent.

As of August 20, 2026. Confirmed measles cases, numbering 2,777, were reported in the United States for the year. Among these, 2,761 cases were reported by 47 jurisdictions. New York City and the District of Columbia are among the jurisdictions. Arkansas and New Hampshire are the two unlisted states. As of Aug. 25, there were three known measles cases in Parke County, IN, west of Indianapolis.
In 1963, the safe and effective MMR vaccine arrived. By 2000, the U.S. declared measles eliminated, due to vaccine coverage. Declining vaccine coverage has triggered the recent comeback.

There is something truly ridiculous about trying to rename Lake Ontario “Lake America.” Lake Ontario has a history that goes back centuries and the name predates both the United States and Canada as we know them today.

Donald Trump had nothing to do with discovering, naming, or shaping the history of this lake. He is simply out of his depth trying to rewrite a history that existed long before him. And while families are struggling with the cost of living, healthcare, housing, and groceries, we are being encouraged amongst ourselves to argue over what to call a lake.

These distractions are designed to keep us bickering with each other instead of coming together to solve the problems that actually affect our lives. We do not need more political stunts. We need leaders focused on bringing people together and delivering results for working families.

Lake Ontario is Lake Ontario. Let’s get back to work.
