This Memorial Day, we honor and remember the courageous men and women who gave their lives in service to our country. Their sacrifice will never be forgotten. 🇺🇸

As families gather, grills get lit, and we enjoy time together this holiday weekend, please do so safely:

🌭 Keep grills away from homes, decks, and anything flammable
🔥 Never leave grills unattended
🚒 Keep children and pets away from hot surfaces
🚗 Never drive impaired

Our crews spent time over the last week completing their annual driver training to continue sharpening the skills needed to safely operate the fire engines in all types of situations.

One of yesterday's rescues didn’t involve fire gear or hoses—it did involve four tiny, crying kittens stuck in an attic! 🐱

After new soffit was installed on a vacant home, it’s believed the mama cat could no longer get back to her babies. Our crew was able to safely rescue all four kittens. No damage was done to the home, and the soffit was put back in place afterward.

A caring neighbor has stepped up to give the kittens a safe place to stay. A happy ending for some of Bedford’s newest little residents! ❤️
