June 9th: "Tales from the Appalachian Trail"
At 6pm, local Appalachian Trail hiker John Reisart is visiting the library to share his experiences.
July 15th: "Early Tourism at the Belgrade Lakes"
At 6pm, local author and historian Linda Snow McLoon is giving an illustrated lecture at the library about early tourism in our region.
August 5th: "Maureen Milliken discusses missing Appalachian hikers"
At 6pm, one of our local authors is joining us to talk about missing Appalachian Trail hikers while connecting these cases to her mystery series.
August 19th: "Community Read Book Discussion"
At 6pm we'll get together to wrap up the summer with delicious refreshments and fun conversations about Heartwood.
π¦ Summer Kids' Programs π¦
June 20th - August 20th: "Summer Reading: Reading Passport"
All season we're holding our annual summer reading program, brought to you this year by Miss Mary! Keep your eyes peeled on our page for future details.
July 27: "Frogtown Puppeteers: The Legend of the Banana Kid"
Join us at 2pm in the Center for All Seasons for a puppet show featuring cowboys, outlaws, a goat, and tons of bananas.
August 4: "Chewonki Traveling Natural History Program: Animal Adaptations"
At 2pm, Chewonki is visiting the Center for All Seasons to teach everyone about the cool ways animals have adapted to their environments. Stop by to meet new animal friends and participate in fun activities.
