The Department of Public Works would like to thank Mayor Melham and the Township Council for recognizing our department with a proclamation for National Public Works Week, May 17–23.

It is truly appreciated to have our department recognized for all the hard work, dedication, and service our employees provide every single day. Public Works employees are often the first responders to storms, emergencies, road hazards, and many situations throughout the township, always working behind the scenes to keep our community safe, clean, and running smoothly.

We are honored and grateful for this recognition and will continue to proudly serve the Township and our community with dedication and pride. Thank you again for your support and appreciation of Public Works.

As we wrap up an awesome National Public Works Week, I just wanted to take a moment to share some pictures of the incredible team here at Belleville Public Works.

These men and women are truly the backbone of our community. They are the ones out there every single day keeping our streets clean, maintaining our parks, collecting garbage and recycling, handling emergencies, and making sure our township continues to run smoothly.

I know I’ve said it all week, but I want to say it again — I truly appreciate all of their hard work, dedication, and commitment throughout the years and for the years to come. This job is not easy, but each and every one of them continues to do an outstanding job day in and day out.

Please take a look at the pictures and help us recognize the employees in the different departments. Their names will be posted underneath each photo.

Thank you again to our entire Public Works family for everything you do. Together, we’ll continue making Belleville beautiful.

Well, it’s Thursday and we’re winding down National Public Works Appreciation Week. Today we wrapped things up with our Public Works pizza party, and once again I just want to thank every member of our department for everything they do and continue to do — not only for myself, but for the entire township and community.

I’d also like to thank Township Manager Brian Banda for stopping by today, showing support for the Department of Public Works, and always being on the front line supporting our department. We truly appreciate it, and thank you for taking the time to recognize the hardworking men and women of Public Works.

These men and women work hard every single day behind the scenes to keep our streets clean, parks maintained, roads safe, garbage collected, and our town running smoothly. Their dedication, teamwork, and pride in what they do never goes unnoticed.

I’m proud to work alongside such a hardworking department. Thank you all for your commitment, sacrifices, and the outstanding work you do every day for Belleville.

Please continue to show your appreciation to our Public Works employees whenever you see them out working in the community. A wave, honk, or simple thank you goes a long way.
