Last week, our CEO, Rebekah Mitchell, Chief Development Officer Courtney Voigt, and Director of Marketing & Communications Mary Kate Provost had the opportunity to attend Grace Collaborative, a conference hosted by the incredible local Northwest Arkansas nonprofit, Saving Grace.

It was an inspiring few days filled with learning, collaboration, and meaningful connections with fellow members of our nonprofit community. We’re grateful for the opportunity to grow alongside so many passionate organizations working to make a difference across Northwest Arkansas.

Next stop on our “Around the World” summer journey: Japan! 🇯🇵🌸

This week, our Horizon Academy students explored Japanese culture through hands-on activities, traditions, and of course — food! 🍣

One of the highlights was our sushi-making class with Chef Chris Shioyama. Students had so much fun learning the art of sushi while trying new flavors and techniques. Thank you, Chef Chris, for such an unforgettable experience! 👏✨

Even Officer Golden and our Education Facilitator, Jackie, joined in on the sushi fun — proving you’re never too old to learn something new! 😊🍱

Buckets are $20, and every bucket picked helps support hope and healing for children across Arkansas.

Summer is here, but our Horizon Academy kids are headed “Around the World” first! 🌎✈️

Our first stop: Mexico! 🇲🇽 This week, students kicked off their journey by creating colorful piñatas and wrapped up the adventure with a visit to El Pueblito — thank you for hosting us! ❤️

Along the way, they learned about the vibrant street art of Mexico City, as well as traditional Mexican holidays and customs.
