Join the Benzonia Public Library Puppet Lab to learn all about dinosaurs, create dinosaur skeletons, and even explore how to excavate your own dinosaur fossils at home!

Just a reminder, you can beat the heat and create some art! Stop by Benzonia Public Library during regular library hours to create a square, yours is the piece we are missing!

In collaboration with Michigan Legacy Art Park's Community Art Project "Quilts", BPL has space reserved with all the materials you need to create a square for the quilt! The art space will remain for a couple of weeks. BPL has selected the theme "bookshelf" for our quilt. Please be a part of our story!

From our friends at the Michigan Legacy Art Park: The squares will be mounted on recycled colored corrugated plastic sign blanks. The squares will continue to be created throughout the summer and fall of 2026 at the Art Park and arts and crafts fairs around NW Michigan. Volunteers will attach the squares to corrugated plastic sign blanks to form numerous “quilts”. They will be hung on fish netting on the accessibility trail at the Art Park, as well as several other places along the trail.

Library hours: Monday-Friday 10am-6pm, Saturday 10am-2pm
