Join us at Bexley Public Library for a special evening with Kari Gunter-Seymour, past Poet Laureate of Ohio, as she celebrates the release of her latest poetry collection, All That Teethes Within.

In this deeply moving collection, Gunter-Seymour explores the complexities of grief, the lasting impact of loss, and the beauty that can help us find our way through it. Rooted in her Appalachian identity, these poems confront heartbreak and injustice while finding moments of connection, resilience, and hope in the natural world.

Gunter-Seymour will be joined in conversation by Fred Andrle, a poet and award-winning journalist who spent 20 years hosting WOSU’s Open Line public affairs program. A published poet and longtime advocate for the arts, Andrle co-directs the Hospital Poets series, bringing poetry to hospitals and communities across Ohio. Together, they’ll explore how writing can help us process profound grief, find community in shared experiences, and rediscover beauty in the world around us.

Come for an evening of poetry, reflection, and conversation with two accomplished voices in Ohio’s literary community.
