Bexley City School District

Bexley City School District Following our mission to Learn with Curiosity. Demonstrate Kindness. Embrace Equity. They have access to a wide variety of courses and extra-curricular programs.

Bexley’s neighborhood schools are the center of a stable, close knit community. Students benefit from the small class sizes that permit personal attention and foster academic excellence. A high level of community involvement characterizes the Bexley school system, which receives considerable support from the nonprofit Bexley Education Foundation. Financial ratings institutions praise Bexley’s sound financial operations, solid voter history and conservative fiscal management. Educating the β€œwhole child” is a core value in Bexley, with the school district invested in programs that enhance the overall wellness of school community members. Unlike most public schools, Bexley has free, all-day kindergarten and foreign language instruction in the elementary grades. Certified professionals teach visual and performing arts throughout the K-12 curriculum. A high percentage of students are involved in extracurricular activities with 75 percent of high school and middle school students participating in at least one athletic activity. U.S. News & World Report and Newsweek magazines have recognized Bexley High School as one of the top public high schools in the country.

πŸ’»πŸ“Š Bexley High School Class of 2003 alumnus Tom Storer recently offered his professional expertise to create an interactive online calculator that allows residents to estimate how Issue 5’s proposed funding could affect their household.

Originally developed for his current community, Tom adapted the tool for Bexley to provide residents with accurate, easy-to-understand information as they consider the ballot issue.

We appreciate Tom for giving back to his hometown and using his skills to help keep the Bexley community informed!

🦁 More than 60 Bexley High School student leaders and team captains came together for the first Lions Lead seminar of the school year, exploring how leadership and kindness work together to build strong teams and relationships.

Throughout the day, students heard from community leaders Paula Haines, Shane Roberts, Kenny Sipes, and Nick Wolfe; participated in sessions on teamwork and goal setting; and heard keynote speaker and BHS alumna Dr. Kacy King talk about making kindness a leadership choice.

Now in its second year, Lions Lead encourages students to grow as leaders and consider the legacy they can create at BHS and beyond. Thank you to everyone who shared their experiences and helped make the day meaningful.

πŸ₯ž It was a beautiful morning for Breakfast with Buddies at Maryland Elementary! Hundreds of students, family members, and staff gathered on the playground to enjoy pancakes, turkey sausage, fruit, and time together with friends and neighbors. This beloved event is held twice each school year and is always a wonderful opportunity to bring the Maryland community together.

Thank you to the Maryland PTO, faculty, and staff who helped make the morning so special!
