Congratulations to Poolees Sloan and O’Neil and PFC Rydgren who just graduated from Laurel High School. As they close this chapter of their lives, they will be pursuing another within the Marines. Both Poolees Sloan and O’Neil future career paths will be in aviation mechanics and PFC Rydgren will be pursuing into the infantry roles.

Congratulations to Poolee Martell who just graduated from the Billings Public Schools system. This summer, he’ll be going to Marine Corps Boot Camp to earn the title Marine. He will be going into Electronics maintenance field for his career field. Wish him the best of luck for this new chapter.

CONGRATULATIONS TO POOLEE HUGHES AND POOLEE SMITH FOR TAKING THE FIRST STEPS TO BECOMING A UNITED STATES MARINE!!!

Poolee Hughes of and Poolee Smith of will be working with their recruiter .t.beatty18 over the course of the coming months in the Delayed Entry Program in order to ensure that they will meet the demanding requirements of Recruit Training.

Not everybody who walks through our doors will be ready for the trials of Recruit Training immediately.

This is exactly why the Delayed Entry Program exists. Working with your recruiter (Billings .t.beatty18 / Bozeman .cox.usmc / Butte ) in the time between qualifying for enlistment and shipping to Recruit Training will ensure you are prepared for what awaits you .

OTD 1967 - The first woman Marine to serve in Vietnam Master Sgt. Barbara J. Dulinsky, arrives in Saigon for assignment to the J3 at Military Assistance Command, Vietnam. She served as the Top Secret Control Office of classified documents.
Master Sgt. Dulinksy’s insistence for an assignment in an active combat zone would open doors for all of the female that would follow her. In the ensuing decades, women would enter combat roles and achieve other distinctions that would have been unthinkable before.

EXPERIENCES MAY VARY.

From the Panamanian jungle to the city streets of Hungary, going on a deployment in the Marine Corps can take you to many places across the globe. But most important rule to follow is to give the work you do your 100% at all times.

But DO NOT FORGET TO TAKE ADVANTAGE OF THE TRAVEL OPPORTUNITIES YOU HAVE WHILE YOU CAN.

Many places you’ll go as a Marine you may never have the opportunity to go again. So be sure to get the most out of it you can.

It can be hard to leave home, but home will be there when you get back. Don’t be afraid to take a few years to see the world and have some experiences you’ll never have anywhere else.
