Burleigh County has a Jail Nurse opening: LPN or RN.

This is a Medical Assisted Treatment (MAT) Nurse position. The selected applicant will be responsible under the Nurse Supervisor to research, develop and implement the MAT program in our detention center. See the job description in the link below for more details about this program and position.

Applications close for this position on July 30th, 2026. Following interviews, first day of employment is typically 3-4 weeks later however this is flexible.

This is a 8:00-5:00 based position. No overnights, no weekends.

Scam Alert

Scams continue as always. Recently, family members of inmates have received calls from people posing as employees of our detention center or the court system. They offer to release inmates via electronic monitoring or house arrests in exchange for fees/money for these non-applicable programs. This is a scam.

BCSD will never ask for money over the phone nor will we ever cold call family members for money. Be aware.
