Bismarck Veterans Memorial Public Library is Hiring!

The Bismarck Library Foundation (BLF) is hiring a part-time Executive Director. This role involves working with the BLF board to grow the donor base, endowment, and financial support for the library’s special projects.

The BLF inspires private giving to supplement public funding for the library and has led campaigns for vital improvements like the restroom renovation, the purchase of a new bookmobile, and the Children's Library renovation.

Summary of position:
• Part-time - 20 hrs/wk, on-site
• Cultivates donor relationships
• Researches and submits grant proposals
• Develops layout and content for publications
• Manages the BLF office with the Administrative Officer

Minimum qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree is required
• 3 years experience in fundraising, public relations, technical writing, or similar setting
• 5 or more years experience in non-profit foundation preferred

Hiring Range:
$25-$35/hour

Each kit has 3 pairs of binoculars: a toddler-friendly pair, an 8x21 youth pair, and an 8x42 adult pair. The kit also contains Birds of the Dakotas Field Guide by Stan Tekiela and a Birding 101 pamphlet from the Cornell Lab of Ornithology.
