The Bismarck Fire Department responded to a fire at the Bismarck Landfill on Thursday. The fire involved a involved a household scrap metal baling operation conducted by a private contractor, which spread to an adjacent scrap metal pile of common household appliances and materials. 3rd Street Closed Near Railroad Tracks for One Week

Starting the evening of Sunday, June 14, 2026, 3rd St will be closed near the downtown railroad tracks so that roadway repairs can occur at the railroad crossing.

Bring your E-bike to either location and our officers will help ensure it meets safety standards and is legal to operate. Whether the bike is for you or your child, this is a great opportunity to learn about safe riding practices, where E-bikes can legally be ridden, and the responsibilities that come with being an E-bike rider.
