What's happening at the Library this week? Here's all the details:

Maker Monday is Monday, June 8th. Each week throughout the summer we're highlighting our BRPL Studio/Workroom and the fun things that can be made there. This week we're using found materials and craft supplies to make 3D Flowers. We'll be exploring texture and shape with paint and our ChompSaw. Registration is encouraged so we have enough materials for everyone. At the end of the event, you'll have something you may want to enter into the Bowman County Fair! All ages, though littles will need some assistance.

Speaking of littles, Tuesday is Toddler Disco Jam! This event is for kids 5 and under (though kind older kids are welcome too). We get together and dance to hot disco jams with DJ Laurie at 11am. Free event. No registration is required.

BRPL Snack Adventure series begins on Tuesday, June 9th with the snacks of Japan. Taste and rate your favorites! Fun begins at 2pm (until 5pm or the snacks run out).

Photo clues of the art work in their hiding spaces will drop on the Library's Facebook and Instagram stories at 10am sharp! One piece of art per household, please. Artists always welcome! Talk to Sarah if you'd like to be a featured ArtDrop Artist.

Wow Wednesday is Wednesday, June 10th. We'll set up a Terrarium Bar in the Library backyard, weather permitting. 1-4pm. All are welcome, no registration is required.

The BRPL Foam Cannon and Librarians will be at Murray Park in Scranton for Scranton Lions Club - Scranton, ND Burgers in the Park. They'll serve a delicious meal, and then play in the Foam. What fun. All are welcome.

Story Time is back! Thursday, June 11th at 10:30am. We read stories, do activities, and play together in this interactive program designed for children and their grownups. This event is specifically crafted for children aged 18 months to 5 years old, though older children may also find enjoyment in the fun-filled activities. Register on the library's website www.bowmanlibrary.org

Spinning Yarns - our monthly craft meet-up - is Sunday, June 14th from 2-4pm. Bring your needlework, weaving, felting, quilting or more and visit with new friends and neighbors while you work. Snack provided.

Don't forget to sign up for Summer Reading Adventure! Stop in any time during the month of June to get signed up for the free summer long reading challenge. Kids are encouraged to set a reading goal to work for the summer. Adults register and pick up a reading Bingo card.

Get your miles/minutes in for the Community Movement Challenge! Our epic art wall is coming together. Be a part of it!

Summer Reading Adventure sign up begins TODAY! First 40 kids to sign up get a free tote bag with goodies and a book of their choice to start them on their Summer reading goal.

Registration is from 2-5pm today, Tuesday, June 2nd. We'll be serving up Root Beer and/or Orange floats for all at that time. If you can't make it to the library, no worries. Register any time during the month of June.

To register, kids are asked to set their own Summer Reading Goal. This could be 100 minutes of reading, or 10 books, or 100 pages, or whatever they feel will motivate them to keep reading.

Adults - we've got you covered too. Pick up an Adult Reading Challenge BINGO card, and start your Summer Reading Challenge too!

Plus join us for events all through the summer including Maker Mondays, Tuesday Snack Adventure, WOW Wednesdays plus special events too. The Library calendar has all the deets - find it by subscribing to the Library newsletter or visiting the website at www.bowmanlibrary.org

"Adventures in Reading" Adult Fiction Display

What's happening at the BRPL this week? Here's the lowdown -

Summer Reading Adventure begins this week! Stop in on Tuesday, June 2 to sign up for this free summer long reading challenge. Kids are encouraged to set a reading goal to work for the summer - register on Tuesday, June 2 and pick up a get-started reading bag. Adults register and pick up a reading Bingo card. Plus we'll be serving Root Beer Floats on Tuesday from 2-5pm! Summer Reading Adventure is a free program sponsored in part by the Bowman Public Library Foundation.

That was Tuesday, now back to Monday, June 1st. We'll be starting our series called Maker Monday. This Monday, we'll be Printmaking on Gel. What? No worries. Bring your creativity, we'll provide all the materials. Couple of details - we'll run two sessions 11-1pm and 1-3pm. It helps us if you let us know which session you plan on attending since we have to prep the art supplies (and some of the supplies are limited). All-ages. Free. And, while we have aprons, you may want to wear something that you don't mind getting paint on.

BYOB Book Club meets on Wednesday, June 3rd at noon. This a a book club for adults where we talk about the books we're reading or have read in the past month. We don't all read the same book, so no assigned reading with this book club. Talk about your favorite reads and fill that TBR list! All are welcome to attend.

WOW Wednesday will begin on Wednesday, June 3rd with a fun Terrarium Bar. We'll have all the supplies to make your own terrarium. 1-4pm or until the supplies run out!
