The library will be hosting a free talk on Thursday, June 25 at 5:30pm with author/photographer Jack Montgomery. He will be discussing his book "From the Holocaust to Maine: Testimonies of the Survivors". He says "These stories are the responses of those who endured the most terrible consequences of hateful rhetoric and actions." Free and open to the public!

The library will be closed today in observance of Juneteenth. Regular hours will resume Saturday, June 20.

Our first official event on the deck! No Spring Chickens were fantastic! 25 people came with their own chairs, and the rain held off until people were heading to their cars! Our next summer concert will be on Thurs July 9 at 7:30, with a performance by Jud Caswell. Hope to see you there!

The first of our Summer Concert Series will be tonight, Thursday, June 11 at 5:30, with No Spring Chickens! This will be our first official event on the platform deck (weather permitting). Bring a blanket or folding chair (and maybe some bug spray!) In the case of inclement weather, the music will be indoors and seating will be limited. All concerts are free and open to all!

It is looking like the weather tomorrow evening isn't going to cooperate to allow our concert with No Spring Chickens to be outside, which is a total bummer! Plan B is to be inside in the program room, and seating will be more limited. Unless, of course, the weather forecast changes (which, being Maine, is known to happen!) Inside or out, it should be a good time! Hope to see you there!
