The Bremen Library is pleased to welcome back Lisa Kyle as our June Artist of the Month! Her art will be on display in the meeting room gallery throughout the month of June, with an artist’s opening reception on Wednesday, June 3, from 3-5 pm. Light refreshments will be served. Free and open to the public.

Things are moving along!! Jeffrey Verney Excavation is working hard to finish their part of the project today!! So many thanks to the Ehrenfeld Family Foundation for the generous financial gift that is making all of it possible!

Our landscaping project has begun! The library is open. Unfortunately, the parking lot has limited accessibility today (Wednesday) into tomorrow (Thursday) morning. Parking is available at Town Hall. Please don't park on the grassy area across from the library lot or along the long driveway, as these are "no parking"zones. I apologize for the inconvenience!

While today is often considered to be the unofficial start of summer, it is so much more. Today is the day that honors and mourns U.S. military personnel who died while serving in the armed forces. The poppy as a symbol of war casualties started with the poem "In Flander's Field" by Lieutenant Colonel John McCrae, who saw bright-red poppies blooming on the war-torn fields where so many soldiers had lost their lives. I hope you take a moment today to quietly reflect and remember those who made the ultimate sacrifice in service to this country.

2 out of 5 of the "Breakfast Bunch" puppies went home today! And I was so glad to have some puppy cuddles. So glad to be able to host Midcoast Humane today

We are hosting a puppy adoption event with Midcoast Humane today, Saturday, May 23 from 9-12 !There will be several puppies available that have been spayed/neutered, microchipped and are up to date on their vaccinations. Applications can be filled out at the event, and will be numbered in order of arrival. Come see who is looking for a fur-ever home!

Say hello to the adorable puppies that will be at our Puppy Adoption Event at Bremen Library tomorrow, Saturday, May 23rd! 🐶

Join us from 9am – 12pm at 204 Waldoboro Rd, Bremen and potentially meet your new best friend! These puppies have been spayed/neutered, are microchipped and are up to date on their vaccinations.

Applications can be filled out at the event and will be numbered in order of arrival. We look forward to seeing you there! 🐾

Just a reminder as we head into warmer weather- the library is a cool place to be! We have a/c and plenty to read. What more could you need?? Current library hours are Wed 10-5; Thu 10-7; Fri 10-3 and Sat 9-12.
