Quick question: if an inspector or your insurance company asked for your fire protection records today, how long would it take to find them?

Most people put this off, and we get it. It's easy to forget until someone asks.

When we inspect sprinklers, kitchen hoods, fire suppression systems, clean agent systems, or fire extinguishers, every inspection ends with a record: the date, what we checked, and what we found. We keep it filed and ready, so you don't have to go digging.

Happy International Chefs Day! Trivia Tuesday, kitchen edition.

True or false: the company that inspects your kitchen fire suppression system can also design and install it. See below for the answer. (Spoiler: at least with us, it is.)

Here's how it works at Winninger. We design, install, inspect, and service kitchen fire suppression systems, from the first drawing to the semi-annual check.

If you need a new system:

1. We look at your space and your fire risks.
2. We design a system for your kitchen.
3. Our certified technicians install and test it.
4. We show your team how to use and maintain it.

Once it's in, we keep it ready. Our inspections include checking the nozzles, piping, and agent, testing that the system activates, and verifying the fuel and power shutoffs. You get the paperwork to prove it.

Fire code changes from town to town, and you didn't start a business to learn it. We tell you what applies to you and help with anything that comes up after.

That's a wrap on the 2026 Walk to End Alzheimer's - Great Lakes Bay!

This year, we were proud to sponsor all three walks in the region AND have our very own team participate for the first time! 👟💜

From walking alongside our community to hosting a fundraiser with our friends and clients at Hollys Bar and Grill, it's been an incredible experience supporting a cause that touches so many lives.

Taking care of our team means caring about their well-being AND the people they love. Brain health, family support, and the fight against Alzheimer's are all part of that bigger picture. 💜

Thank you to our WFP teammates, donors, Holly's, the Alzheimer's Association, and everyone who walked, volunteered, or supported these events. Together, we're helping make a difference for families throughout our community.

🔥 Trivia Tuesday: Calling All History Buffs! 🔥

We were so busy celebrating Fire Prevention Week last week that we forgot to share WHY it all began! 🤦‍♀️

Did you know Fire Prevention Week dates back more than 100 years?

📅 October 8, 1871: The Great Chicago Fire began, devastating the city.

📅 1922: Fire Prevention Week became a national observance, helping raise awareness about fire safety.

We've come a LONG way since then, but fire risks are still very real!

We were fortunate to have the Bridgeport Fire Department join us last week to help spread the word about fire safety. 🚒

We're proud to be involved with our community and share prevention tips, education, and hands-on activities. Don't forget, your local fire department is a great resource! If you ever have questions about fire safety or prevention, don't hesitate to reach out to them.

Because the best way to fight a fire is to help prevent it in the first place! 🧯

🔥 From a brand-new trailer to FIRE READY! 🧯

One of our favorite things about being part of the Saginaw County Chamber of Commerce is getting to watch local businesses grow!

We first met MH&D Catering at the 5:15 at 515 event, when their new trailer was so new it didn't even have its wrap yet! 🚚

Next came their ribbon cutting, where we got to meet more of the family behind the business. ❤️

And most recently? Their first fire protection inspection with WFP, just in time for their inspection with the fire chief!

With a kitchen suppression system that was new to them, we were happy to help navigate the requirements and make the process easier!

From first introductions to first inspections, we love being part of the journey!

Congratulations to MH&D Catering! Looking forward to where the road takes you next! 🎉

Thank you to everyone who joined us for Business After Hours at Winninger Fire Protection! 🔥

We opened up the shop, showed a little behind the scenes, ran a live fire demo, and let some of our youngest guests try an extinguisher for themselves. There was live music, good food, and an emu and a few turkeys out back keeping an eye on things.

Fire protection is mostly invisible work. Nights like this let you meet the people behind it. Thank you for coming out, and thank you to Saginaw County Chamber of Commerce, Birch Run Bridgeport Chamber, Frankenmuth Chamber of Commercefor letting us host this awesome event and thank you to Bridgeport Fire Department for adding your knowledge!
