Ms. Julie and her storytime friends had a great time hatching dinosaur eggs this morning! We also wanted to take a moment to congratulate Julie on her recent promotion to Youth Services Coordinator! She is always going above and beyond for her kiddos here at the library and we are lucky to have her in this new role!

Lego Club is back for the summer starting tonight at 5pm! This club is hosted by parent coaches of our Lego League team (that competes in the fall) and robotics mentors from Lake Michigan Steamworks. Complete fun challenges, practice your Lego skills, and get ready for the 2026 Lego League season! No registration required, drop in whenever you are able (it's not required to come every week).

Summer Reading is off and running! As of this post, our patrons have logged 3,223 minutes of reading on our first day! Our community goal this year is 830,000 minutes by August 1—help us get there by signing up on Beanstack!

The Little Bucks Bookmobile made its first stops of the season today at Hills Haven and Riverside Estates! Visiting the Bookmobile is free and does not require a library card (it's basically a giant little free library).

If you want to support our Bookmobile programs, you can donate on our website! We are currently working with local business, Buchanan Diesel, on some much needed repairs.

Volunteer opportunity!

Kathryn Park's new play equipment will be installed June 23 & 24! We are seeking volunteers to help build community and play equipment, no tools or experience necessary. The building will be led by an experienced supervisor from Sinclair Recreation, and we welcome anyone who would like to help. Lunch, water, and snacks will be provided. Recommended for ages 16+.
