A smile that says it all 😊
Behind every great school is a leader who truly cares—and we’re so lucky ours does. Your positivity, dedication, and constant support make such a difference in our days. You lead with kindness, strength, and heart, and it doesn’t go unnoticed.
Thank you for creating a place where everyone feels valued, encouraged, and inspired to do their best. We appreciate you more than words can say! Happy Principal’s Day!

Today, we celebrate our incredible school bus drivers who safely transport our most precious cargo each and every day.

For many of our students, the bus is the first and last classroom of the day. It’s where relationships are built, expectations are set, and care is shown in the smallest of moments. Beyond daily routes, our drivers are also there for field trips, activities, and athletic contests, ensuring students arrive safely and return home after long days and late nights.

Thank you for the early mornings, the extra trips, and the unwavering commitment you bring to our schools and community. We are grateful for all that you do.

Tomorrow, April 23rd, our schools and offices will take part in the Pierce County Lahar Drill. The East Pierce Interlocal Coalition Emergency Management Team, along with neighboring school districts and partners, will be participating in a large-scale joint exercise. This drill aims to assess and enhance our capability to evacuate students and staff in the event of a lahar from Mount Rainier. All plans and procedures prioritize the safety of everyone involved.

Although the White River School District is not located in the direct lahar walking zone, we will still be involved by conducting a Shelter-in-Place drill at our school and rehearsing our communication protocols in Pierce County.

This event is in addition to our regular monthly drills, which aim to practice preparedness in a calm and effective way, ensuring that both staff and students are ready for emergency situations.
