Next Sunday!

Discover the fantastic fungi at For-Mar during a series of Educational Field Experiences. Each Experience includes an introduction on mushroom identification and focuses on identifying fungal species through the Seasons (not to identify mushrooms for edibility). Participants are encouraged to bring a small basket or mesh (fiber, not plastic) bag, tick/insect repellent, and to wear long pants and closed shoes during the hike.

Suggested for ages 16 and older.
Cost: Free

Meet our newest Animal Ambassador, Rumple the Mexican Red Rump Tarantula!

Rumple was able to purchased because of generous donations from one of our spider loving young guests and his grandma who have been patiently waiting for a new tarantula to join the team! Thank you for your donations and Welcome Rumple!

You can meet Rumple in the For-Mar visitor center when we are open. Visitor Center hours at 9am - 5pm daily.

Yesterday, August 24, 2026 we had a family stop in to let us know that they were at our opening day celebration for the Treehouse…10 years prior… and shared these time hop images with us.

𝗔𝗿𝘁 𝗶𝗻 𝗡𝗮𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗲 – with local art partners

Every Wednesday throughout the summer, we are excited to bring you a different nature-themed pop-up program for you and your kids to enjoy together. Each Pop-Up Program will include garden time, a themed activity area, and the chance to engage with one or more community partners.

For this week’s theme, we’ll get creative with local artists. Be ready to paint, draw, and sculpt! Don’t forget to grab a free lunch for those 18 and younger at the Meet Up and Eat Up truck from 11:55-12:25 pm!
