Marines with India Company, Class 32-26, graduated from Marine Combat Training at Camp Geiger, North Carolina, Sept. 15, 2026. The company’s dedication and performance were recognized during graduation, including PFC Murrellsanders as Honor Graduate, Pvt. Rothery as High Shooter, and Pvt. Axiotis with the Gung-Ho Award.

Marines with Advanced Infantry Training Company, School of Infantry-East, demonstrated advanced weapon systems proficiency across three specialized courses. At Observation Post 2, Staff Sgt. Pilette coached 0352s in the Advanced Antitank Missile Gunner Course (AATMGC 2-26) on Javelin employment from static firing positions. Concurrently, Advanced Mortar Course (AMC 3-26) students completed their culminating exercise by executing Advanced RSOP and conducting 81mm mortar call-for-fire missions across multiple positions. Rounding out the combined-arms focus at SR 7, Gunnery Sgt. Sanchez provided critical tactical instruction to Advanced Machine Gunner Course students, refining their ability to deliver effective support-by-fire for maneuver elements.

Infantry Small Unit Leader Course (ISULC 4-26): At Range G-29, students engaged targets from Support-by-Fire 1 (SBF 1) using Moving Variable Purpose (MVP) robotic targets to simulate a maneuvering element during their Small Unit Training Exercise (SUTEX), guided by Combat Instructors Staff Sgt. DiChristina and Sgt. Ashorn.

Basic Scout Course (BSC 4-26): In the vicinity of (IVO) Verona Loop, BSC students camouflaged with natural vegetation executed Individual Movement Technique (IMT) lanes, maintaining concealment while observing simulated enemy positions and collecting vital intelligence for higher headquarters.

Combat Instructor Course Awards / Recognitions: At Camp Geiger, standout instructors and leaders were recognized:

Staff Sergeant Johnson (AITB): Staff Sergeant Malachowski Award recipient.

Staff Sergeant. Marrone (ITB): Honor Graduate.

Gunnery Sergeant. Fruciano (IULC): Instructor of the Cycle.

SUPERIOR PERFORMANCE OF DUTY WHILE SERVING AS COMBAT INSTRUCTOR, COMPANY F, MARINE COMBAT TRAINING BATTALION, SCHOOL OF INFANTRY-EAST, CAMP LEJEUNE, NORTH CAROLINA, FROM 4 AUGUST THROUGH 24 AUGUST 2026. DURING THIS PERIOD, SERGEANT CARSON'S PERFORMANCE WAS EXEMPLARY AND EARNED HIM THE DISTINCTION AS COMBAT INSTRUCTOR OF THE CLASS FOR CLASS 29-26. HIS POSITIVE ATTITUDE AND DEDICATION TO HIS MARINES PROVIDED AN OUTSTANDING EXAMPLE FOR ALL WHO OBSERVED HIM. SERGEANT CARSON'S UNSURPASSED PROFESSIONALISM AND UNRELENTING PURSUIT OF ACADEMIC EXCELLENCE WAS INSPIRATIONAL AND ALSO EARNED HIM THE SERGEANT LONNY D. WELLS LEADERSHIP AWARD. , SERGEANT CARSON'S INITIATIVE, PERSEVERANCE, AND TOTAL DEDICATION TO DUTY REFLECTED CREDIT UPON HIM AND WERE IN KEEPING WITH THE HIGHEST TRADITIONS OF THE MARINE CORPS AND UNITED STATES NAVAL SERVICE.

Marines completed a grueling 15 day course in order to earn the title of Martial Arts Instructor. Marines from SOI-E, V1/8, V3/6, 2D LAR, New River, and 2ND MLG completed the culminating event and fought for their tabs on the final day and earned the title as Martial Arts Instructor. SSgt Jones was the Honor Graduate for class 108-26 and Sgt Burlile was named Gung-Ho.
