DoWEA is pleased to welcome Matthew Kirby as the new Americas Regional Director for Student Achievement.

A U.S. Naval Academy graduate, former Navy Surface Warfare Officer, educator, and founder of Liberty Classical Schools, Kirby brings a wealth of leadership experience and a deep commitment to academic excellence. Supporting the whole student means supporting military families, too. Military and Family Life Counselors (MFLCs) provide valuable resources and support to help students navigate life's challenges and stay focused on success. Learn more in the post below.

Military-connected students face unique challenges, from frequent moves to deployments and life transitions. Military and Family Life Counselors (MFLCs) play an important role in supporting students and families through those experiences.

At DoWEA, we value the partnerships that help our students stay , connected, and ready to learn. As we head into summer, remember that support is available for military families whenever it’s needed.
