North Carolina school districts will need to come up with a plan to present to the state Department of Instruction 30 days before the last day of classes.

Important information from Onslow County Schools about the return to school procedures starting April 6.
03/30/2021

Important information from Onslow County Schools about the return to school procedures starting April 6.

As mentioned in our last Weekly Update, students' arrival at school will look a little different when we return on April 6.
To align with new guidance from the NCDHHS StrongSchoolsNC: Public Health Toolkit (K-12), which "does not recommend daily COVID-19 symptom screening for all students at school entry," OCS will discontinue screening all K-12 students upon arrival at school. Pre-K students will still be screened, as the guidance for those programs has not been updated at this time.
Guardians are strongly encouraged to monitor their children for symptoms of infectious illness every day through home-based symptom screening. Students who are sick should not attend school in person.
Face covers will still be required for all students and staff.
More on OCS reopening plans can be found here: https://www.onslow.k12.nc.us/Page/40378
