We are a grassroots organization made up of peers (people who have been diagnosed with an illness) and family members, friends, and caregivers. We’re looking for stilt walkers, face painters, entertainers, and more to help make this year’s Walk a fun and memorable celebration! If you have a special talent or activity to share with our walkers, we’d love to have you join the team.

Want to be prepared when a young person is struggling?

Join NAMI Stark County for Youth Mental Health First Aid Certification on Friday, August 14, 2026, at 9:00 AM via Zoom. This free one-day training teaches adults how to recognize the signs of mental health challenges, respond to a crisis, and connect youth with appropriate support.

Participants who complete the course will earn a Youth Mental Health First Aid certification valid for 3 years.

The excitement starts tonight in Canton as football fans from across the country gather for the return of the game.

If you're headed to the festivities, be sure to stop by the NAMI Stark County information booth! Our own Paige Cavalier and our amazing Next Gen Stark County volunteers will be there to share resources, answer questions, and help spread the message that mental health matters.
