Yesterday our Veterans enjoyed a nice trip to the Cape Farmer's Market where they perused the great looking veggies and fruits, tasted awesome Amish donuts and pretzel bits and were treated to delicious BBQ from 2 Sides Grillin. Thank you to Crystal Sides and Bobby Sides for donating lunch to our Veterans on this outing, those Veterans smiles say it all!

Yesterday we were honored to be one of the 11 beneficiaries of the 2026 Getting Sauced competition. Thank you so much to all 115 sponsors who made this event possible and to everyone who went out and enjoyed a windy and misty day eating BBQ and listening to some great music. These funds will directly impact the Missouri Veterans Home - Cape Girardeau and the Veterans who call it home. Thank you to this year's committee for choosing us to be one of your winners.

Congratulations to our May Employee of the Month, Christina Tanner! Christina is an LPN on our dementia unit. She shows such compassion to our Veterans and was recognized for her kindness and ability to connect with our Veterans. Thank you Christina for all you do! We appreciate you!

The Tuesday of National Skilled Nursing Care Week (NSNCW), our staff enjoyed the "In Bloom" theme by choosing and planting their own flower. Everyone really enjoyed getting their hands down in the dirt and making something beautiful. Thank you to Glass Gardens By Stacy for being amazing to work with and for helping us stay in budget by giving us a discount. We can't speak highly enough of the service we received and how helpful they were!
