Survivors with a Testimony Inc. (S.W.A.T. Inc.)

is a non-profit organization based in North Carolina whose mission is to put a STOP to the varied forms of domestic abuse in our community by providing support services such as education and advocacy to survivors and families. Our Vision

Domestic violence is the willful intimidation, physical assault, battery, sexual assault, and/or other abusive behavior as part of a systematic pattern of power and control perpetrated by one intimate partner against another. It includes physical violence, sexual violence, psychological violence, and emotional abuse. The frequency and severity of domestic violence can vary dramatically; however, the one constant component of domestic violence is one partner’s consistent efforts to maintain power and control over the other. When you think of Domestic violence we always think of a women being hurt by a man, but men also suffer from abusive women. Statistics show: On average, nearly 20 people per minute are physically abused by an intimate partner in the United States.1 in 3 women and 1 in 4 men have been victims of [some form of] physical violence by an intimate partner within their lifetime.1
1 in 5 women and 1 in 7 men have been victims of severe physical violence by an intimate partner in their lifetime.
1 in 7 women and 1 in 18 men have been stalked by an intimate partner during their lifetime to the point in which they felt very fearful or believed that they or someone close to them would be harmed or killed.

To the Board of Directors, sponsors, donors, volunteers, supporters, and the communities of Survivors With A Testimony Inc.,

Over the last few months, I have had the honor of accepting awards and recognition on behalf of this organization. But truth be told, the work we do could not happen without each and every one of you.

Today, I want to take a moment to simply say THANK YOU.

God sees our hearts. He sees the compassion, the sacrifices, the prayers, the time, and the love we pour into serving survivors and helping people rebuild their lives.

The vision and mission God placed in my heart was never meant to be carried alone. It takes all of us — every board member, sponsor, donor, volunteer, partner, and community supporter — working together to make an impact.

This is not a me thing.
This is a WE thing.

Thank you for believing in the vision. Thank you for standing beside Survivors With A Testimony. Thank you for helping us create spaces of healing, hope, restoration, and transformation.

The work continues because together we are making a difference.
