🚨 SCAM ALERT – PLEASE SHARE! 🚨

The Carver County Sheriff’s Office has received several calls today regarding a scam in which individuals are being contacted and told they need to pay bail for someone who is in jail.

Please be aware: The Carver County Sheriff’s Office and Jail Division will NOT call you and ask you to pay someone’s bail over the phone. If you receive a call like this, it is a scam.

Scammers may use real names, claim to be law enforcement, or provide convincing details to make their calls seem legitimate. Do not provide personal information, financial information, or payment to anyone making these demands.

•If you receive a suspicious call:

•Do not send money or provide financial or personal information.

•Do not trust caller ID alone, as phone numbers can be spoofed.

Hang up and contact the Carver County Sheriff’s Office directly using an official phone number if you have concerns.

If you have already provided information or sent money, contact your financial institution immediately.

When in doubt, hang up and verify. Don't let scammers take advantage of you!

A big thank you to Mayer Lutheran High School for inviting us to attend this year’s career fair. Our Deputies that attended are also alumni of the school and had a great time interacting with the students that stopped by our table.

Yesterday the jail had six inmates graduate from Aramark’s IN2WORK kitchen workforce initiative program. They all become SAFE SERV certified. In addition they are eligible for $10,000 scholarships through Aramark for themselves once they are out of jail.

It’s nice Aramark offers this program!! Congratulations to these inmates
