On these hot summer days, we’re reminded just how incredible this team truly is.

From caring for our parks, trails, and athletic fields and courts, to leading unforgettable programs, creating adventures for all abilities, and helping protect the places we all love, they work tirelessly behind the scenes to make Chattanooga a better place to live, play, and explore.

Their passion, dedication, and hard work make it all possible.

This is your Parks & Outdoors Team.

Shout out to Chattanooga Lookouts for letting us hang out at Erlanger Park.

Well, this is a new one for us!

Our Park Ambassadors found a lawnmower sitting out at a local park, and we're hoping to solve the mystery of how it got there.

If you had a rough day and accidentally left your mower behind, we want to help you get it back! Send us a DM or call 423 643 7866 to claim it. To make sure it goes to the right person, you’ll just need to verify the exact location you were at and the make/model of the mower.

If this was left intentionally, we kindly ask you to please find alternate disposal methods. Leaving unwanted items in our parks takes our crew away from maintaining the green spaces we all love, and it ultimately wastes local taxpayer dollars.

If you've got old equipment you need to throw out, please reach out to 311 to learn about local bulk waste drop-offs instead.

We appreciate all of you who help us care for Chattanooga's parks every day!

Seeds! Seeds! Come get ya’ seeds!

Seeds! Seeds! Come get ya’ seeds!

Help our local monarch butterflies, bees, and other essential pollinators one garden at a time! There are still common milkweed seeds available through the Tennessee Department of Transportation's Project Milkweed. Tennessee residents can head to https://tnpollinators.org/milkweed/ to secure their free seeds (up to 3 packets).

Never underestimate the power of connectivity.

At Harris-Johnson Park, we’re seeing that power in action! The freshly-paved paths at this park do so much more than just improve accessibility. They create seamless, inviting connections between local residents and their shared green spaces.

When we visited today to capture photos of the finished work, we got to see that impact unfold in real-time: a group of neighbors was already strolling down the new walkways toward the central pavilion for an afternoon game of dominoes.

Thoughtfully designed spaces foster real human connection. When we invest in connecting our parks, we invest in connecting our communities.
