We've got the Switch 2 ready with Super Smash Bros and Mario Kart! If you want to win, by like... a LOT, play against Miss Missi - if you want an actual challenge, play Mr. Tyler!

Story Time last week was a fun one! We learned about insects-the things they do for us, like aerate the soil, or provide honey. We learned that insects are food for other animals, AND can be food for us! Did you know there is almost as much protein in a cricket as there is in chicken?

Miss Missi has a great new book called Bug Snacks, and it goes into….great detail 😵‍💫 about the flavor and consistency of different bugs. I tried to be brave and order freeze dried crickets to try..they come in a lot of um..flavors..but in the end, Miss Missi is neither brave nor adventurous, and we went with cricket flour cookies.

They were actually good! 🙃Super soft cookies, with no crickety taste (which I don’t even know what that would be but).

So there you have it folks-almost everyone there tried the cricket cookies and some kids said they’d eat all of them.

Thanks to Miss Laura and Miss Hannah from County Conservation for coming to talk about bugs, and for the fun games! We went through a bug tunnel, had a couple worksheets, and played a fun dice game where we got to be bees and just try to live our little bee lives.
