🍦 A Citation… for ICE CREAM?!🍦

Don’t be surprised if you see Chesterfield Township Police officers stopping kids around town… for doing something GOOD! 😄

Our officers are handing out Positive Citations to recognize young residents who are making smart, safe, and kind choices in our community. Instead of a ticket, these special citations can be redeemed for a FREE ice cream courtesy of Mayor Rebecca Hughes and the Chesterfield Committee as well as our wonderful community partner, Fundaes Arcade & Play Café! 🍨🎉

You might receive a Positive Citation for things like:
🚴 Wearing a helmet while riding your bike or scooter
🍋 Running a lemonade stand or other small neighborhood business
🚸 Using crosswalks and practicing pedestrian safety
🛴 Following the rules of the road on your bicycle or e-bike
🗑️ Helping keep our parks and neighborhoods clean
🐕 Walking your dog responsibly and cleaning up after them
🤝 Showing kindness by helping a neighbor or friend
📚 Reading at the park or participating in community activities
🌳 Respecting public spaces and being a great role model

This week, Sgt. Bell and Ptl. Powderly had the pleasure of surprising these young entrepreneurs with Positive Citations after stopping by their lemonade stand. Their hard work, teamwork, and community spirit certainly deserved a cool reward! 🍋👏

We love finding opportunities to recognize the amazing kids who make Chesterfield such a great place to live. So keep making positive choices—you never know when a Chesterfield Township Police officer might stop by with a Positive Citation… and a sweet treat waiting for you at Fundaes Arcade & Play Café! 🍦🚔💙
