🇺🇸Celebrating History in Chesterfield! 🇺🇸

On Saturday, June 6th, CTFD was honored to participate in the Chesterfield Twp Historical Society’s America’s 250th Parade.

It was a proud day for our department as we showcased our entire fleet along the parade route, including Rescue Engine 2611, Tender 2612, Quint 2614, Chief 2600, and Utility 2629. A true highlight of the day was pulling our historic 1744 Antique Hand Pumper!

We would like to extend a sincere thank you to our off-duty career firefighters who took time out of their personal day to return to the firehouse and represent our department in the 250th Anniversary Parade. Their dedication to the community goes far beyond their scheduled shifts and reflects the pride they take in serving our residents. We would also like to thank our volunteer members who joined us in showcasing our apparatus and representing the rich tradition of our department. Events like this are a great reminder of what can be accomplished when career and volunteer members come together with a shared commitment to service.

We would like to express our sincere gratitude to the NJ Fire Museum for generously loaning us our antique hand pumper for this historic milestone. We would also like to thank the Chesterfield Township Historical Society for organizing such a spectacular parade, and to the Burlington County Fire Police units for keeping our roads closed and ensuring everyone's safety. Finally, thank you to everyone in our wonderful community who lined the streets to celebrate alongside us! 🇺🇸

The white haze and smoky conditions currently visible in Chesterfield are the result of a wildland fire at JB MDL. A steady southeast wind is pushing the smoke directly toward our area, and these conditions are expected to persist for the next several hours.
Please be mindful of outdoor air quality during this event. Residents with respiratory illnesses or sensitivities are advised to remain indoors.
